The Marketing Department works in three main fields: teaching, research, and publication. It also works with alumni.
The department’s teaching activities cover the subject of marketing in upper and lower division courses, as well as courses offered as part of doctoral programs and application-oriented master’s programs such as the curriculum toward the Master of Business Marketing (MBM).
Another important area of focus remains the department’s research in various areas within the field of marketing, along with the accompanying publication of work in trade journals, scholarly monographs, and textbooks.
The department pursues its work with alumni in the form of the alumni association MBM Alumni – Verein zur Förderung des Executive Master of Business Marketing an der Freien Universität Berlin e.V. (Association for the Promotion of the Executive Master of Business Marking at Freie Universität Berlin).
