Monitoring IV

The project entitled “Monitoring IV" seizes a presently available opportunity to fill the void of lacking clarity and transparency regarding integrated care in Germany and its modifications over specific periods of time. Within the framework of the special report entitled “Koordination und Integration –in einer Gesellschaft des längeren Lebens“ (“Co-ordination and Integration – in a Society of Prolonged Life”) the Council of Experts for the Assessment of Developments in the German Healthcare System, the so-called Sachverständigenrat zur Begutachtung der Entwicklung im Gesundheitswesen (SVR), published its first survey results on existing integrated-care contracts on June 30, 2009. In cooperation with associate professor Dr. Henning Kreis (Marketing Department FU Berlin), with the German Society for Integrated Care (Gesellschaft für Integrierte Versorgung) and with the support of the SVR a replication of this study will be conducted by the CCEC. Through this study insights will be provided into the development of the structures, the processes and problems in the field of integrated care with regard to specific periods of time. Up until now such insights have not yet been achieved. With these surveys an attractive basis is being created for scientific analyses as well as for analyses and publications with a practical relevance. Results from the second round of „Monitoring-IV“ are available here.
