Vitae: Studies in sociology at the Université Paris Vincennes and the Free University of Berlin (FUB); doctoral studies at the WZB from 1987 to 1990; research assistant at the Institute of Sociology (Methodology and Statistics); subject of dissertation: "Dynamics of Part-time Work" (published by edition sigma in 1993). Research fellow at the WZB since 1992, currently in the research unit "Internationalization and Organization".

Affiliations: Germany Association of Sociologists (DGS), European Group of Organization Studies (EGOS). Member of the Editorial Board of the journal "Organization". Member of the EGOS Organizational Board since 2002.

Main Areas of Research Interest: Internationalization of service organizations, especially in the legal and accounting fields, professional service enterprises as rule-setters in transnational arenas.
