NLL@Wiwiss establishes a new decentrally organized area of competence for new forms of teaching and learning in the studies of business and economics. It comprises new organizational, didactical and technical modelling potentials. Herein three areas of work align the area of competence:

1. Continuous reflexion: “The future of university-level teaching and learning”

A series of lectures with domestic and foreign experts in their respective fields is designed to help reflect on current developments and best-practice examples with respect to a possible implementation at the Department for Business and Economics.

    2. Encouragement of added value in every day teaching and learning processes

The Area of Competence sets the foundation for a joint project for the enhancement of the current range of courses. Along with a possible joint acquisition of topic-specific third-party funds, the Area of Competence also serves as a platform for coordination and discussion of current project results.

3. Specific project realization and multiplication of experiences

An initial project (the Content Barter Plattform) designs and realizes a platform for personalized, multimedia blended learning modules, which are produces by internationally renowned experts of their respective fields. This way a base of highly attractive content of teaching is developed. Through so called service platforms (“framework of courses”) this base can be further developed, reconfigured, and reused to create new course offerings. Furthermore, course offerings in the field of Learn Service Engineering are being created and implemented to complement the Content Barter Plattform.

A Blackboard organization has already been created to make further information to activities and lectures of NLL@Wiwiss available. Those interested can contact Ms. Corinna Fink (corinna.fink@fu-berlin.de).
