Do I have to submit other files (e.g. data sets, transcripts or syntax) in addition to the paper?
For empirical work, it is important that you submit your dataset along with your thesis.
For quantitative studies, you can attach the data as a Stata, Excel, or CSV file. Please ensure that you submit the unaltered raw dataset. In your thesis, you should clearly describe any modifications you made to the dataset (e.g., handling of missing values or outliers). You may also submit a cleaned dataset in addition. Always ensure that variables are named meaningfully. For larger datasets, it is helpful to include a variable list on a separate worksheet to describe the variables in more detail. Submitting a syntax file (e.g., Stata do-file or R code) is not mandatory but can improve the transparency and reproducibility of your analysis.
For qualitative studies, please include the transcripts (e.g., interview transcripts) either in the appendix of your thesis or as a separate PDF file.
