Prof. Céline Poilly

Céline Poilly is Professor of Economics at the Aix-Marseille School of Economics. She received her PhD in Economics from the University of Cergy-Pontoise in collaboration with the Banque de France. Before joining Aix-Marseille, she held academic positions as Assistant Professor at the University of Louvain-la-Neuve and at the University of Lausanne.
Her research focuses on macroeconomics, with particular emphasis on monetary and fiscal policy, labour market dynamics, and international macroeconomics. In her work, she combines theoretical and quantitative approaches to study business cycles, policy transmission, and macroeconomic uncertainty. Her research has been published in leading international journals and is closely connected to policy-relevant questions.
As a guest professor, she will offer the advanced course "Uncertainty and Volatility in Macroeconomics", combining empirical evidence and theoretical models to analyze how uncertainty shapes economic decisions and macroeconomic dynamics.
