A conference on the public economics of economic inequality was held in Berlin on June 16^th and 17^th, 2014. Recent developments in theoretical and empirical research were presented and discussed.

The conference was organized by Giacomo Corneo and Charlotte Bartels as a supporting event of the Ph.D.-program on “Public Economics and Inequality” of the Free University of Berlin. The conference venue was on the beautiful Berlin Island of Schwanenwerder. It started at 2 p.m. on June 16^th and ended at about 5 p.m. on the day after.
