Topic: Assessing new technologies in value chains with Multi-Attribute Utility Theory: The case of carbon dioxide capture and utilization technologies
Description: The research aims to identify and estimate the impacts of new technologies for CO2 capture and utilization on cross-sectoral value chains. Based on value chain analysis and multi-criteria decision making the economic effects of CO2 utilization will be evaluated empirically with a mixed methods study approach. The aim is to better measure expected implications, understand which sectors could benefit and which might not and identify potential hindrances at the different value chain levels, for example the role of the cost of CO2. Furthermore, from the results of the study implications for relevant stakeholders from policy, industry and academia will be derived.
