In this report, published in Transfer: European Review of Labour and Research, my PhD students Tobias Zimmermann and Jule Klink, together with Dongwoo Park, provide a summary of the conference “Labor and the Transition to Electric Vehicles: A Global Perspective”, held on May 9–10, 2025 at Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations in New York. The event was hosted by Ian Greer, Harry Katz, and Art Wheaton (Cornell-ILR), Mathieu Dupuis (Université Laval), and myself. Building on the inspiring debates and insights shared during the conference, we are preparing an edited book that will bring together the fascinating research presented by participants from around the world.
