The inaugural workshop of the Standing Committee for Political Economy (Ausschuss für Politische Ökonomie) of the German Economic Association (Verein für Socialpolitik), held on March 26–27, 2026 was a great success.

Over two days, the workshop brought together researchers from across the field of political economy and featured a wide range of excellent theoretical, experimental, and empirical contributions. The presentations sparked lively and insightful discussions, creating an engaging and highly productive academic atmosphere.

We would like to thank all presenters, discussants, and participants for their contributions, as well as everyone involved in the organization of the event. We are especially grateful for the stimulating exchange of ideas that made this inaugural meeting such a rewarding experience.
