Voraussetzungen
Learning Objectives:
Students will be able to critically reflect on the economic implications of an increasingly digitized and
networked society, as well as the associated processes of change and transformation. In addition to
fundamental knowledge of appropriate research frameworks for explaining observable changes, they will be able to analyze economic challenges and implications and address them with appropriate strategies. Students will be able to analyze complex issues and examine them from various perspectives. To solve problems, they will be able to use technology-supported
methods of team and project management in a goal-oriented manner. They will be able to continually adapt the knowledge they have acquired from various disciplines, as well as their own skills, to current developments and systematically expand upon them.
Contents:
The “Move to the Market” hypothesis, hybrid organizational forms and the borderless enterprise, interorganizational information systems (IOIS), networked value chains, value creation networks and clusters, technology-driven change and transformation processes from the perspective of selected research concepts as well as through concrete examples, e.g., the transformation of the German healthcare system; media revolutions and convergence theories; Web 2.0 in teaching, among others.
