Evi Pappa is Professor of Economics at the Universidad Carlos III Madrid and will hold the chair of the Deutsche Bundesbank in the summer semester of 2021. She focuses on topics in macroeconomics, monetary policy and public finance in developed economies.

She has been active in several European universities (LSE, Bocconi, UAB, University of Bern, EUI) and has been a visiting researcher at the Bank of England, the European Central Bank, the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, the Central Bank of Brazil, and the Riksbank.

Professor Pappa is a research fellow of the Center for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) and the panel of experts of the Centre for Macroeconomics (CMF). She is also associate editor of the Economic Journal.
