Massively parallel computing is one of the core activities of the Zuse Institute Berlin (ZIB), which is why the ZIB is operating one  of the most powerful computing machines worldwide. ‘Konrad’ which is the Berlin part of the North German Supercomputing Alliance (HLRN) is a valuable companion of hundreds of scientists in northern Germany for groundbreaking scientific research in Earth Sciences, Fluid Dynamics, or Material sciences and any other fields.

The HLRN is operating a Supercomputer with 90.000 cores, 250 Terabyte memory and high performance parallel filesystems to fulfill the needs of today’s scientific demands.

Take a brief overview in Supercomputing of today and a guided tour at Konrad.

Wednesday, September 06, from 16.30 – 17.15.

We will meet at the conference venue (in front of Henry Ford Building) at 16.00.
