Professor of Marketing at the Free University Berlin

Vitae: Studies of Business Administration at the Ruhr University Bochum (Dipl.-Oec. 1978). After community service, Research Assistant at the Seminar of Applied Business Studies of the Ruhr University Bochum, completion of doctorate (1984). Since 1992 Full Professor of Management (focus on Technical Sales and Marketing) at the Free University Berlin. Since February 2003 Head of the working committee “Regulation and Market Process” in the research group “Standardization” of the “Deutsches Institut fuer Normung e.V.”. From 2005 to 2007 Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics, Free University Berlin.

More than 150 publications, predominantly on Business-to-Business Marketing and Service Marketing. Among others, co-author and co-publisher of the 5-volume textbook “Technischer Vertrieb”. Co-publisher of the series “Business-to-Business Marketing”, “Fokus Dienstleistungsmarketing” and “Wirtschaftsinformatik”. Also member of the editorial board of “Marketing – Zeitschrift für Forschung und Praxis” and publisher of the online-service “technischervertrieb.de” and “Berliner Reihe” – working papers on business-to-business marketing.

Research interests: Customer Integration, Business-to-Business Marketing.
