Vitae: Studies of Business Administration at the Free University Berlin (Dipl.-Kfm. 1973). Afterwards, Research Assistant at the Institute of Marketing, Free University Berlin. Completion of doctorate in 1978 and habilitation
in 1984. Various research periods at the Marketing Department of New York University.
Full Professor of Marketing from 1986 until 1994 at the Correspondence Teaching University “FernUniversitaet” of Hagen, where he was also Dean and Pro-Dean. Called to chairs at the Universities of Lueneburg, Kassel and Chemnitz. Since December 1994 Full Professor of Marketing at the Free University Berlin. Dean from April 2001 until March 2003.Research interests:
Consumer Behavior, Marketing Research.
