Renate Ortlieb’s research interests lie in the fields of “health-related absenteeism,” “power and gender relations in organisztions,” “company pension schemes,” and “managing diversity.” Intheoretical terms, Renate Ortlieb’s research is economic as well as behavior oriented. Special priority is placed on the application of empirical research methods. In research as well as in teaching, she combines theoretical, empirical, and critical-political dimensions. Renate Ortlieb published articles in Journal of Royal Statistical Society – Applied Statistics and Zeitschrift für Arbeits- und Organisationspsychologie, among others.
