At the Chair of Strategic Management, we offer the research seminar Academic Concepts and Methods in Management (10113611) on "Strategy within Planetary Boundaries" in the BWL Bachelor program in the summer term 2024.

Short description: This research seminar aims at discussing the role of the natural environment in firms’ strategies.  In this the research seminar, we will discuss how planetary boundaries (safe earth system boundaries) challenge the existing strategy frameworks and theories. To do so, we will examine key topics in strategy with a specific focus on the implications of planetary boundaries. Topics include natural resources and competitive advantage, corporate and international strategies, organizational design, strategic leadership and corporate governance, shareholders and stakeholders, greenwashing, and corporate misconduct.

The first class is on Monday, the 29th of April 2024, from 9 to 11 am.
