From a methodological perspective, we can provide support with qualitative research and quantitative methods.
You are also welcome to draw inspiration from the current research of our research associates.

Please use this as a basic reference and additionally coordinate with your supervising research associate. For Master's theses, participation in a colloquium is also required, in which you will present the interim progress of your thesis during the semester.

Exposé
As you can see from the general process model, a relatively substantial amount of time is allocated to developing the exposé. A large part of the exposé will later be incorporated into the final thesis. We therefore consider the following aspects to be requirements for your exposé:
- Length of 7-8 pages
- Abstract < 150 words
- Introduction including research question/problem description
- Preliminary literature review (listing the most important literature sources relevant to your thesis, each accompanied by a small number of references)
- Methodology (approach, data sources, analytical methods)
- Hypotheses/expected results
- Timeline (project plan/Gantt chart including implementation and writing phases)
- German or English
At the mid-term meeting, students writing their final thesis are required to present an updated version of the exposé (including an outline with the planned page length of each chapter).
