Students will be able to gain insights from the analysis of large and complex data sets using methods of intelligent data analysis. They can design, implement, and use simulation systems for decision support, especially under uncertainty in a business environment. You will be able to select and apply the models, methods and algorithms taught in a manner appropriate to the issues and to derive recommendations for action from the application of the methods. The seminar on the PC also addresses interdisciplinary qualification goals, in particular independent work, analytical thinking, presentation skills and skills for technology-assisted task solving in teams.
Special models and algorithms of data mining, models, methods and fundamentals of simulation, and use of relevant software tools for data analysis and simulation, a selection from special techniques, such as clustering, association analysis, classification, discrete and event-driven, stochastic, agent-based simulation, etc.
