Access statutes
Since the admission to the master's program in Business Information Systems at Freie Universität Berlin is restricted, admissions are based on the results obtained in the selection process and the resulting ranking. 80% of the available spots are allocated by the university's selection procedure. In accordance with this, 51% of these spots are allocated by grades and 49% by 20-minute selection interviews (see the admission regulations § 4, paragraphs 3, 4, and 7). The allocation of the remaining 20% is based on the waiting period in accordance with § 10 (1), sentence 1, no. 2 BerlHZG. Up to 5% of places are allocated in accordance with § 10 (1) sentence 3 BerlHZG in conjunction with § 7 (1) sentence 1 no. 1 BerlHZG to those applicants for whom the rejection of the application for admission would mean exceptional hardship. Please note that the current versions of the laws presented are authoritative.
A detailed description of the admission requirements can be found in the following admission statutes.
Formal questions regarding the application and admission procedure should be directed to the Application and Admissions Department at FU Berlin. If there are any uncertainties regarding the professional requirements, you can contact masterwinfo@wiwiss.fu-berlin.de.
