Topic: The technological paths description and system analysis of a focal technology: A comparative case study of automotive powertrain in China and Germany

Description: This research is based on a dynamic perspective to explore How and what conditions does the development path of the same (or similar) technology form among countries with different industrial context. We select the case of powertrain within automobile industry in China and Germany. The development of the automobile industry has changed greatly in the past twenty years. Meanwhile, the development of powertrain is closely related to the technological trend of the automobile industry. Therefore, in order to study the different routes of automobile technology, powertrain is quite critical. In addition, we will explore the driving force of technological innovation at the micro level.
