Miriam Flickinger publishes her research in Corporate Governance: An International Review
News vom 28.05.2025
We are excited to report that the article “The Performance Effects of Independent Directors: A Large‐Scale Study of Danish New Ventures”, coauthored by Jakob Arnoldi, Miriam Flickinger, Sarah Bruhs Sørensen, and Jacek Piosik, has been accepted for publication at Corporate Governance: An International Review.
The study investigates the effects of outside board members on the performance of new venture firms. It uses a large-scale sample of 5,562 Danish new ventures to show that the percentage of outside directors has an inverted U-shaped effect on new venture performance. The results also show that moderating factors at the board level and firm level amplify or cushion this non-linear effect.
