News vom 16.10.2013

Next week the 2nd meeting of the DFG-Scientific Network "Field-Configuring Events: Time, Space and Relations" organized by Prof. Schuessler will take place at the HafenCity University in Hamburg (in collaboration with Prof. Gernot Grabher and his team) on the 24th and 25th of October. The workshop focuses on the role of time and temporality in organized events. The first keynote on "Event-based organizing in the flow of time" will be held by Prof. Tor Hernes (Copenhagen Business School), an internationally renowned expert on theorizing time and space in organizations. The second keynote will be held by Prof. David Obstfeld (California State University, Fullerton) who has published widely on networked-based creativity and temporary organizations. The workshop is preceded by a public lecture, in which David Obstfeld will present his new theoretical ideas on network brokerage as a process. To round up the theoretical debates, the workshop is spatially and temporally embedded in the Internationale Bauausstellung IBA Hamburg (International Building Exhibition) and takes place at the IBA Dock.
