Master Thesis Projects in Computational Cognitive Neuroscience
News vom 14.07.2015
Two MSc thesis projects are available at the Computational Cognitive Neuroscience group (Prof. Dr. Dirk Ostwald, Freie Universität Berlin) from October 2015 to March 2016. The projects are funded by the FU E-Research initiative (~400 Euro/month) and focus on the optimization of statistical inference procedures for big-data neuroimaging (fMRI). The projects are carried out in collaboration with the Applied Statistics group (Prof. Timo Schmid, Freie Universität Berlin).
Suitable candidates will have a strong interest in computational approaches to cognitive neuroscience. Good mathematical-analytical and programming skills (e.g. Matlab, C++ or R) are essential. Knowledge of advanced statistics (general linear models, Bayesian inference, machine learning), and neuroimaging data analysis is beneficial.
