Learning objectives:
Students gain basic knowledge on how to efficiently design organizational structures and
processes. They become familiar with and understand various theories, models, and
processes involved structuring organizations. This allows them to recognize and reflect upon
organizational problems and to develop solutions for them. The knowledge they gain about
organization theory will not only be useful to organization specialists, it also provides the
basis for work in management.
Content:
Organizational design theory; differentiation models; integration models; formal and
informal organization; useful illegality; political processes in organizations; corporate culture
