The Master Colloquium “Acadamic Practice” provides students with the possibility to present the preliminary results of their thesis and receive feedback, constructive criticism and suggestions for improvement of their research project. Students will also learn about other students’ theses. Students will practice important academic skills, like presenting own research, discussing the work of fellow students, or providing constructive feedback. In each meeting, up to three students will present their theses (about 30 minutes per student).

Recall that your attendance is mandatory. If you cannot make it to the onsite meetings (for example, because you write your thesis at an institution outside of Berlin), please let us know in advance so that we can try to setup a hybrid form. Note, this will only be granted in exceptional cases. Important: The final date of your seminar presentation has to be coordinated with your advisor. More information about the course and a detailed time schedule will be announced in the first weeks of the semester on blackboard, once the number of presenting students is known.
