In meiner Forschung beschäftige ich mich mit statistische Methoden aus dem Bereich des Causal Machine Learning und deren Software-Implementierung. Ich wende diese Methoden im Kontext ökonomischer Forschungsfragen an. Aktuell arbeite ich an Projekten zu Sensitivity Analysis für Causal ML, Double Machine Learning für Difference-in-Differences-Modelle und Kausaler Inferenz auf Basis multimodaler, unstrukturierter Daten wie Bildern und Texten.
In der Lehre bieten wir Vorlesungen und Seminare im Bereich Ökonometrie und Data Science an. Der Fokus liegt dabei sowohl auf statistischen Methoden, der Anwendung und Implementierung mithilfe von Software (Python, R), sowie deren Anwendung auf ökonomische Probleme. Die Lehrveranstaltungen umfassen Veranstaltungen zu Causal Machine Learning (Master, PhD), Data Science (Bachelor) und Machine Learning. In der Lehre setze ich auf neue didaktische Ansätze und freue mich über einen aktiven Austausch mit den Studierenden.
My research focuses on statistical methods for causal machine learning and their software implementation. I apply these methods mainly in the context of economic research questions. Currently, I’m working on projects on sensitivity analysis for causal ML, double machine learning for difference-in-differences models and causal inference based on multimodal, unstructured data like images and text.
In teaching, we offer lectures and seminars in the field of econometrics and data science. The focus is both on statistical methods, application and implementation using software (Python, R), as well as their application to economic problems. The courses include offerings on Causal Machine Learning (Master’s, PhD), Data Science (Bachelor’s), and Machine Learning. In my teaching, I use new didactic approaches and I look forward to active exchange with the students.
