International Finance (With Special Reference to Emerging Markets)

This course will examine the functioning of international financial markets, its main actors and the main policy challenges arising to national authorities as well as to international financial institutions. Topics that will be addressed include, inter alia, the history of the international monetary system; the choice of exchange rate regime; monetary interdependence; currency crises; capital controls; the changing role and reform of the IMF. Diese Vorlesung ist für Studierende des MSc Economics nur in Verbindung einer der dazugehörigen Übungen mit den Nr. 104058 als Modul „Finanzen und Entwicklung“ belegbar: Übung „Mikrofinanzen“ oder Übung „Hands-On Institutions in Development Cooperation.“ Zugang für alle Studierenden der Wirtschaftswissenschaft begrenzt: Anmeldung mit 1/2 Seite Motivationsschreiben für die Teilnahme an der Veranstaltung bis 1.
