We are currently looking for a research associate (75%, d/w/m) interested in Entrepreneurship and Innovation with Artificial Intelligence. The open position neatly links latest research on Management Information Systems with on the ground support of AI innovations. We will therefore work closely with the university landscape, i.e., Profund Innovation - Freie Universität Berlin and Science & Startups across Berlin, as well as with ventures and corporates at AI Campus Berlin. From personalized medicine to programmatic advertising and digital publishing - the influence of digital technologies on entrepreneurial fields of activity is omnipresent. At the Digital Entrepreneurship Hub, we reflect on the processes and mechanisms behind "digital transformation". The Rothe professorship is particularly dedicated to researching the interfaces between (1) digital entrepreneurship, (2) the organization of data and knowledge, and (3) digital infrastructures and ecosystems.

Job description:

As part of the AI-X-AI project, an innovation and startup platform for science-based startups in the field of Artificial Intelligence will be created in collaboration with SCIENCE & STARTUPS, the startup services of the Berlin University Alliance (FU, HU, TU Berlin and Charité University Medicine). Under the direction of Prof. Dr. Rothe and in close cooperation with Profund Innovation, you will develop product, data and technology strategies for the foundation and growth of AI-based start-ups as an "AI Innovation Manager". You will scout and accompany prospective founders of AI startups from different disciplines. Furthermore, you will be involved in training on the topic of AI-based start-ups together with project staff.
The position provides for an intensive exchange with partner institutions from the Berlin University Alliance and strategic partners such as DFKI, Merantix, the German Accelerator GmbH as well as numerous industry partners and associations. As part of your employment, you will also have the opportunity to accompany research in the field of digital entrepreneurship. The position is based at the Digital Entrepreneurship Hub of Freie Universität Berlin. You will have the opportunity to develop your own academic qualifications.

Requirements

Completed university studies (diploma or master's degree) in management information systems, business administration or comparable field of study.

Desirable:

•University degree, ideally with a focus on information systems or entrepreneurship
•very good degree
•very good English skills
•Experience in the independent processing of work packages as well as coordination of (sub-)projects
•Knowledge in one or more of the following topics: Digital Entrepreneurship, Digital Innovation, Machine Learning, Systems Engineering, Data Analytics, Design Science Research, Qualitative Empirical Methods.
•Interest in combining business fundamentals and theories with application-oriented research in close collaboration with partners from research and practice
